About Rebecca Sher Photography

Rebecca Sher is a Chatham portrait photographer with more than 25 years of experience. Sher began her portrait business in 1985 as a children’s portrait photographer in Boston. With children of her own and a natural ability to put children and their parents at ease during a family photography session, families and children became her specialty.

Sher began offering portraits in Chatham on Cape Cod in 2002, and provided her devoted clientele, family portraits with new levels of natural beauty and light set on Cape Cod’s breathtaking beaches, ponds and gardens.

Rebecca photographs her clients in many locations, offering choices of studio, garden, beach or a private residence. Whether it’s a casual, dramatic or formal pose, Rebecca’s portraits are vivid and unique. This combination of skills and experience has made Rebecca one of the premium portrait photographers on Cape Cod.

Rebecca Sher has a fine arts degree from Wellesley College, as well as elementary education certification. She has taught elementary school children in Boston area classrooms. She is a gallery instructor at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, specializing in art discovery tours for school-aged children. Additionally, she has trained in fine art and photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Art Institute of Boston.
