A Message from Rebecca Sher:

10 years ago, I fell in love with the warm, sunset light on Cape Cod. Combined with my passion for designing exquisite family portrait photography, the Cape seemed the ideal backdrop for family and children’s portraits. Now, as a year round resident, Cape Cod is my home, and where I do my best work.

Though the winter is quiet here on Cape Cod, I find something photographically unique each season. There is the snow that blankets White Pond down the street from where I live, the peace and quiet of the soft sandy beaches in the spring, and the fall foliage, brilliant amber and gold against the deep, blue water.

Still, summer remains everyone’s favorite time of year for family photography. As a Cape Cod family and child portrait photographer, it is my greatest joy to bring families together and preserve this lovely moment in time. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of intimate spaces of Cape Cod with the families I photograph. To make the most of the extraordinary setting, portrait sessions are scheduled during the hours before sunset when the light is warm, soft and flattering.

The Chatham area is a perfect place for family portraits, but I have traveled all over the Cape to photograph families, children and babies. With beautiful beaches and marshes which offer breathtaking backdrops, it’s the ideal place to celebrate family relationships as well as those precious childhood moments.
